Echinacea 'Little Annie'

Images courtesy of Sugar Creek Gardens

A new introduction from Eric Stahlheber at Southernwood Gardens in Jonesboro, Ill. At this present time it's the shortest coneflower on the market. At only 6-9 inches, there is finally a coneflower that can sit at the front of the border. An all summer bloomer, it would make a nice addition to a container planter. This could be the start of the next phase of genetics in the coneflower market. A new introduction for 2011, there will be a limited amount for sale in 2010. We at like to trial all the Echinacea coming out so we are going to have to get our hands on this one as we don't yet have this exciting new cultivar.

Mature Width: 18 inches

Bloom Size: 3.5"
