Echinacea 'Irresistible'

Photo courtesy of Tim Wood aka The Plant Hunter

A new release in United States this year but has been in Europe a few years. A nice fully double flower coneflower, Irresistible, is one of many new double pink echinacea on the market this year. One think that seems to make it stand apart is the transition of colors in the head of the flower. The top petals seem to "bleach out" or fade to a lighter pink, leaving an interesting look.
Was a difficult find in 2010 but should be more readily available in 2011
